If you haven't picked up your Halloween candy yet, you may want to consider going for healthier options this year. According to a recent survey, kids today are a lot more health conscious and they don’t mind healthy treats instead of candy when trick-or-treating.
63% of kids between the ages of 6 and 12 claim they would be happy to get fruit over candy while trick-or-treating. 83% of parents surveyed claim their kids willingly choose healthy snacks over indulgent snacks when given the choice because they are conscious of their health. Not only that, but 42% of kids have actually criticized their parents over their eating habits. That's probably why 36% of the parents surveyed say they’re handing out healthier snacks for Halloween this year. (NY Post)
