A new report that grades the 25 biggest fast food chains in the country on where they stand on antibiotics is out and while it’s an improvement over last year, there’s still a lot of room for improvement. For the third year in a row, the only restaurants earning As were Chipotle and Panera Bread, but more companies passed this year than ever before.
Chipotle and Panera both earn their As by using pork, beef, and chicken that are raised without antibiotics. And 11 of the top 25 chains that received an F got that because they have taken “no (discernable) action to reduce the use of antibiotics in their supply chains.
So how did your fave fast food place do?
- Earning a B+ this year was Subway, Chick-fil-A got a B, and Taco Bell and KFC both earned a B-.
- McDonald’s got a C+, just like last year and Wendy’s squeaked by with a C.
- Pizza Hut and Starbucks both got a D+, Papa John’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Jack in the Box, and Burger King all earned Ds.
- As for the Fs, those went to DQ, Sonic, Olive Garden, Domino’s, Applebee’s, Little Caesars, Arby’s, Chili’s, IHOP, Cracker Barrel, and Buffalo Wild Wings.
