Powerball Winner Pledges To Help Hurricane & Wildfire Victims

Judy Finchum played the same numbers for 30 years – and they finally brought her some luck. Now, the 67-year-old Colorado woman has a 133-million-dollar Powerball jackpot to show for it.

And speaking of showing, Finchum and her 70-year-old husband, Mack, will not only buy the house they’d been planning for, but will help hurricane and wildfire victims with thanks to this new-found fortune.

“I’ve worked all my life,” she says. “And it would be nice to learn what (not working) is like, it will.” On a related note, when asked if she was planning to take the lump sum or the annual payout, Judy notes that she’ll be taking the cash – as she and Mack are “too old” to go with payments. She’ll net about $84-million after taxes.
