When Tom Turcich was 17 years old, one of his friends passed away and it changed his perspective on life. He decided to shake things up and committed to walking around the world.
It took a number of years to get things organized, but Tom is currently walking an unbroken path around the world with his dog, Savannah.
Tom left his hometown of Haddon Township, New Jersey, and walked south. He was able to get through North America, South America and Antarctica, all while pushing a jogging stroller that holds his supplies and gives Savannah a place to rest.
Savannah also has dog goggles, or doggles," to protect her eyes when the wind is especially rough on the road.
Tom, who started his journey in 2015, is currently on the third leg of his journey, walking across Europe, enjoying each day, but also expecting to be on the road for another few years. (MarketWatch)
