Late Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell's brother is being bullied on social media.
In a post on Sunday, Pete Cornell thanked his brother's fans for their support but then wrote in part, "It's difficult to imagine this path of healing has generated detractors. I am being bullied, emotionally and as of today, threatened. It has reached a point where my own mental health, my sobriety and the safety of my family are at risk. I'm going to remove myself from social media at this time."
Cornell claims the threats are connected to his recent suicide prevention and awareness messages explaining he is being pushed to "change the narrative." Peter referenced "Psychology Today" when earlier noting “many people abuse drugs or alcohol in an attempt to relieve the symptoms of depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions.”
As we told you previously, the Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman died of what the coroner ruled a suicide.
