State Department Issues Europe Travel Alert Over Terrorism

Planning to head overseas to Europe his summer? If so, the State Department is warning you about terrorist threats across the pond. In a new travel warning, the State Department reminds Americans going to Europe to always be alert to the possibility of a terrorist attack.

It warns travelers to be extra cautious in tourist sites, as well as hotels and places of worship, because those are frequently targeted by terrorists. The warning cites recent attacks in France, Russia, Sweden and Britain.

The alert will expire in September.
