It’s Time For A Digital Detox

It’s Time For A Digital Detox-If there is one good thing that’s come out of the chaos going on in our country, it’s that people are actually learning to unplug.

Even if you do think you know more by tuning in online, you actually miss out on a lot of “real” activity and friendships. Here are a few reasons why you should step away for a while.

  • You let your brain breathe. Constantly feeding info into your brain will eventually take its toll.
  • To take back your time. We spend hours a day connected online. Imagine how much you could do with it in the real world?
  • Rest your hand. The constant motion of holding a device, typing, etc. is physically harming your hand.
  • To fight your insomnia. The light emitted from our devices does our body no favors. The biggest side effect is lack of sleep. “FOMO” is also part of that. Put it down and go to sleep.
  • To challenge yourself. A detox like this one can help you develop more independence and confidence in yourself. It's an effective way of breaking a habit and creating a healthier schedule.
