At 11:10 p.m. on July 21, 2023, Marion Police Officers responded to 290 Libby Lane Apartment 1 for a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located 25-year old D’Jontaez K. Ross of that address deceased.
Justin Brady, age 21 of the same address, was arrested and taken to the Multi-County Correctional Center for the murder of his roommate, Mr. Ross.
“This senseless act has impacted so many in our community. A young man has lost his life and another young man faces serious criminal charges because of needless violence” said Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald.
The Marion Police Department was assisted by the Marion City Fire Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Marion County Coroner’s Office and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office during this terrible incident.
