Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on June 10, 2023, at approximately 3:43 PM, on US 23 in Marion County.
The crash involved a 2003 GMC Sierra pick-up, driven by James Barger, age 80, of Findlay, Ohio. The preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Barger was traveling southbound on US 23 when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Once off road, the GMC struck a culvert before overturning and coming to rest on its top.
Mr. Barger was pronounced deceased on scene by the Marion County Coroner. Mr. Barger was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
