On June 1, 2023, at approximately 8:00 am the Marion County Dog Pound was informed of a pit bull that had attacked a one-year-old child. The incident occurred at 645 Indiana Ave. in the city of Marion. The Dog Warden learned that the pit bull in question was owned by an acquaintance of the mother of the child attacked. Prior to police and the dog warden arriving on the scene the dog and the owner of the dog fled the scene.
The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus with very serious injuries from the attack.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate the owner of the pit bull who is: Jonathan Fry, 34 years of age, Last known address of 334 Columbia Ct.
