(Marion, OH) -- Efforts are now underway to fix extensive water damage at the historic Marion County Courthouse. Burst pipes during the Christmas weekend winter storm have caused flooding at the building, damaging some ceilings and forcing court records to be moved into off-site storage. Contractors are using large commercial dehumidifiers to dry the building out so they can accurately assess what will need to be replaced. The downtown Marion structure was built in 1884, so, care is being taken to preserve as much of the property as possible.
