The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Marion City Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Office held an OVI checkpoint on Friday, September 20th. Due to inclement weather, it was conducted from 9:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. The checkpoint was held on Mount Vernon Ave and Forest Lawn Dr. in the City of Marion.
Officers made contact with 221 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint. One vehicle was diverted for further investigation and no impaired drivers were arrested for OVI.
