A fatal crash involving a school bus is under investigation. 29 year-old Jeremy Holsinger Jr. of Marion was driving northbound on Gooding Road when he failed to yield at the intersection of State Route 47 to a Elgin School bus driven by 61 year-old Beverly Tidd of Prospect. Holsinger's Car was struck in the passenger side. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. Two middle school students were on the bus at the time. One of the students was transported to Marion General Hospital, and the bus driver was transported to Grady Memorial to be treated. The student and the bus driver received non-life threatening injuries.
