Trump Attends Dignified Transfer Of Servicemembers Killed In Kuwait

President Trump is heading back to Florida after overseeing the dignified transfer of the U.S. servicemembers killed during Operation Epic Fury. The somber ceremony was held at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. The six Army Reserve soldiers died in an attack in Kuwait on Sunday, the day after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran. Speaking earlier in Florida, Trump called it a "very sad situation" to greet the families of the fallen. He added, "they're great heroes in our country." Trump was accompanied by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. All six servicemembers were from the 103rd Sustainment Command based in Des Moines.

The departed are Sergeant First Class Nicole Amor, Captain Cody Khork, Sergeant Declan Coady, Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, Major Jeffrey O'Brien and Sergeant First Class Noah Tietjens.

U.S. and Israel Operations In Iran Hits One-Week Mark

The U.S. military operation in Iran dubbed Epic Fury is now one week old. It started with the U.S. and Israel launching an attack that killed the Ayatollah and left the country to grapple with a power void. Iran has been retaliating ever since, carrying out its own attacks against Gulf states. The conflict is blamed for the deaths of six U.S. servicemembers - a number President Trump warned right from the start could climb as operations continue.

Trump Says Iran "Will Be Hit Very Hard"

President Trump is out with a fresh warning for Iran one week after the start of Operation Epic Fury. In a post on Truth Social this morning the president said "today Iran will be hit very hard." He said certain areas and groups of people not previously considered for targeting were now likely to be struck because of, as he put it, "Iran's bad behavior." His comments came after Iran's president delivered a televised message saying his country would never surrender. At the same time however, he did offer an apology to neighboring countries in the region that have come under fire from retaliatory Iranian attacks.

Trump Claims School Strike Done By Iran

President Trump is blaming Iran for a deadly strike on a school in the southern part of the country launched shortly after "Operation Epic Fury" began. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One Saturday, Trump claimed the strike on the school was "done by Iran." Secretary of War Pete Hegseth then said the U.S. is still investigating the strike. This comes after NBC News reported Trump administration officials told lawmakers that the U.S. was targeting the area in Iran where the school was struck. According to Iranian authorities, around 170 people were killed at the school in the southern Iranian town of Minab.

Iran Says It Will Stop Attacking Neighbors

Iran's president says his country will "never surrender" but he says it will stop attacking its neighbors. Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a televised address as U.S. military operations in Iran reach the one-week mark today. He offered an apology to Gulf states saying Iran's armed forces had "acted on their own authority" and that in the days ahead those nations would not be attacked unless Iran is targeted directly by them.

Dubai Airport Resumes Flight After Iran Drone Incident

There's a bit of good news today for Americans looking to leave the Middle East as U.S. military operations against Iran continue. Dubai International Airport is resuming some flights today. Flights into and out of the major travel hub had been suspended temporarily after a suspected Iranian drone strike. A fire was reported at a main terminal, passengers were ordered off planes they'd already boarded and the airport had to be evacuated for a time. No major injuries were reported.

Kuwait Confirms Oil Production Cuts

Kuwait is confirming reports it has cutback oil and refinery production. Saturday's announcement by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation cited disruptions in shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz. OPEC's fifth largest oil producer called it a precautionary step due to "ongoing aggression by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the state of Kuwait." The move adds to a growing list of supply disruptions in the Persian Gulf as the U.S. conflict with Iran rages into its second week.

Gas Prices Jump Again

Gas prices are climbing to start the weekend. Triple A reports the national average is now $3.41 a gallon, up from yesterday's $3.32. The jump comes amid ongoing U.S. military operations in Iran. That's been wreaking havoc in oil markets and causing pain at the pump for drivers across the country. The highest prices today are in California where the going rate is about $5.07 a gallon. It's $2.90in Kansas and that's the cheapest in the nation.
