Good Morning America host, FOX Sports analyst and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan is facing some apparent online backlash for how he was standing during the NFL on FOX's special Veterans Day broadcast frokm Naval Base San Diego.

Strahan, the son of an Army ranger, was seen with his hands in front of him in an interlocked position while his colleagues all had their hands over their hearts during the playing of the national anthem, as shown in a clip shared by the NFL on FOX X account, which yielded a variety of responses.

"Very disrespectful, Michael Strahan," an X user wrote. "Not placing your hand over your heart for the national anthem. If you don't want to show respect for the country I served. Leave!!!"

“What’s wrong with Strahan,” another X user wrote.”@NFLonFOX ? Blatant disrespect for the men and women he is surrounded by protecting his rights and freedoms.”

Others argued that Strahan was being respectful and acknowledged his ties to the military.

“Strahan is the son of a Retired MAJ! I’m sure he has more respect for this country than you ever will!” one user on X wrote.

“I’m going to defend @michaelstrahan here,” an X user wrote. “He stood very respectfully as he was no doubt taught to do by his father. Strahan has shared many times over his respect for veterans.”
