Seizure of the Drugs and Cash in Wyandot County!

On Wednesday October 19, 2022, at 1123 hours, the Wyandot County Special Response Team served a residential search warrant at 105 E. Seventh St in Sycamore, Ohio.

The residence was searched by detectives from the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit, the Seneca Drug Task Force and the METRICH Enforcement Unit. Detectives confiscated suspected Fentanyl cash, and evidence of drug trafficking.

Two people were found inside the residence at the time the search warrant was executed. The two subjects were both detained during the service of the warrant. Detectives identified one of the occupants as Mitchell Ray Adkin DOB: 05/28/1979. Detectives learned Mitchell R. Adkins was currently out on bond for multiple drug trafficking charges in Seneca County. Detectives interviewed and released both subjects pending drug results. Felony drug possession charges are expected.

The seizure of the drugs and cash were the result of an investigation into illegal narcotics being distributed in Wyandot and Seneca Counties. The Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit would like to thank the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office SRT, the Wyandot County Prosecutor's Office, the Seneca County Drug task Force and the METRICH Enforcement Unit for their help in this successful investigation.
