Older Couple Found Deceased in a Pond On Their Wyandot County Property

On February 16, 2022, at 11:09am, the Wyandot county sheriffs office was dispatched to two missing elderly persons at 169 County Highway 34, Sycamore, Ohio. Upon arrival, based on evidence at the scene, it was believed that they had fallen through or entered a pond on the property and were unable to exit.

The Wyandot county sheriffs office dive team was activated. The Wyandot county sheriffs office dive team assisted by sycamore fire and ems, and Upper Sandusky EMS, entered the pond and located the bodies of Kathy Stockmaster, age 68, and Kenneth Stockmaster, age 72. Both were pronounced deceased.

A family dog was missing and unable to be located. No foul play is suspected, but the incident remains under investigation by the Wyandot county sheriffs office.

The deceased were taken to Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
