The Marion Rotary Centennial Playground Construction Begins in October!

The groundbreaking for The Marion Rotary Centennial Playground was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Marion's McKinley Park. The celebration was the first step as the installation of The Marion Rotary Centennial Playground will start next week. This all-inclusive playground is replacing project playground that was recently demolished due to safety concerns.

Christy Neff, from Marion's PEP Club (Parks Enhancement Project), joined Paul James at The Marion Rotary Centennial Playground Groundbreaking on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 to talk about how the playground idea and funding got off the ground and how the construction will go. Amber Wertman, Marion Rotary Club President, also joined the conversation to talk about why the local organization got involved to financially support the project.
