On July 12, 2021 at 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the Dollar General at 1055 Bellefontaine Avenue for a report of an aggravated robbery.
The clerk in the store stated that a suspect had indicated he had a weapon and demanded money from the register. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’3 or so and slender. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a white hospital or COVID type mask. A still shot from the surveillance video is attached.
“We need the help of the public to help us capture this brazen and violent criminal” said Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald.
