The Marion City income tax filing deadline has been extended until May 17, 2021, according to a press release from Marion City Auditor Robert Landon. Recently, the Internal Revenue Service announced it’s plans to extend the federal tax filing deadline. The State of Ohio followed the same path and is extending the state tax filing deadline until May 17, 2021.
Taxpayers can securely mail in their tax documents to the Auditor’s Office. In addition, taxpayers can securely drop off documents inside the drop box located just inside the front doors of City Hall next to the Utility Billing Department.
Effective Monday, April 5th, 2021, City Hall will be reopened to regular business hours. The Marion City Auditor’s Office hours of operation are Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Friday’s 8:00am – 2:00pm.
