POET Biorefining—Marion to Offer Grant to Support Community Initiatives

Sioux Falls, SD (March 1, 2021) – POET Biorefining—Marion in Marion, OH will offer a grant through the POET Never Satisfied program in 2021. 

POET biorefineries have always worked to give back to the communities they call home. Through the Never Satisfied grant program, individuals and organizations can apply for grants that demonstrate the applicant’s commitment to the Never Satisfied philosophy and who offer viable proposals for changing their community for the better.

Grant applicants can be a local individual or group wanting to better their community with a project that aligns with the Never Satisfied Campaign and POET’s overall vision. Examples include schools, churches, community organizations, Girl or Boy Scouts, environmental groups, or individuals that want to take on a community project.

In 2017, POET launched the Never Satisfied Community Grant program, an extension of the POET Never Satisfied student scholarship program, to empower its biorefining facilities to invest in their local communities. Since the program’s inception, POET plants have awarded 50 grants to the sum of $94,200.
