Marion – Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on September 6, 2020, at approximately 3:10 PM on N. State Street at the intersection of E. Farming Street in the City of Marion.
The crash involved a 2008 Toyota Scion XB, driven by Debra D. Six, age 65, of Marion, Ohio, and a 2009 Harley Davidson Motor Cycle, driven by Joshua T. Richards, age 28, of Marion, Ohio.Preliminary investigation indicated that Mr. Richards was traveling northbound on N. State Street.Mrs. Six was traveling westbound on E. Farming Street.Mrs. Six failed to yield from a stop sign, entered the intersection of N. State Street and was struck by the motorcycle within the intersection.
Mr. Richards was transported by Marion City EMS to Marion General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by Dr. I. Iliev at Marion General Hospital. Mrs. Six was transported by Marion City EMS to Marion General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion City Police Department, Marion City Fire Department, and Don’s Towing.
This crash remains under investigation.
