Marion Troopers Investigating a Serious Injury Crash in Prospect Twp.

Marion – Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on September 2, 2020, at approximately 2:27 PM on State Route 4 at ProspectUpper Sandusky Rd. (County Road 83) in Prospect Township, Marion County.

The crash involved a 2003 Toyota Matrix, driven by Marion V. Clark, age 86, of Prospect, Ohio, and a 2005 Honda Civic, driven by Jodi D. Frazee, age 45, of Caledonia, Ohio. Preliminary investigation indicated that Ms. Frazee was traveling southwest on SR4. Ms. Clark was traveling northwest on Prospect-Upper Sandusky Rd, failed to yield to the posted stop sign, entered the intersection, and was struck by the Toyota Matrix.

Ms. Clark was flown from the scene by MedFlight to OSU Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Ms. Clark’s right front passenger, Charles F. Clark, age 59, of Columbus, Ohio was transported by Northern Union County EMS to Marion General Hospital with minor injuries. Ms. Frazee was transported by Pleasant Township EMS to Marion General Hospital and then flown by MedFlight to Riverside Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasant Township Fire Department and EMS, Battle Run Fire Department and EMS, Northern Union County Joint Fire Department and EMS, Kirby’s Towing, and Ron’s Towing.

This crash remains under investigation
