In an effort to help small local businesses, Marion City Council passed a resolution declaring Saturday, June 20, the first annual Marion Small Business Appreciation Day.
Marion 1st Ward Council Member Kai Meade created the “Marion Small Business Appreciation Day” resolution that passed city council unanimously. This resolution creates an annual small business appreciation day in Marion on June 20th.
Mr. Meade encourages members of our community to support in any way they feel comfortable in relation to COVID-19. So whether you are eating out, or doing some shopping please choose local. Look for banners around the city promoting the event.
To make this day a bigger success, Meade urges all the small businesses and community organizations around Marion to help spread the word. So please share the posts from his Facebook Page, share this podcast and story, or just tell your family and friends to support Marion Small Business Appreciation Day on June 20!
