THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH REPORTS THAT THE PACT FINALIZED FRIDAY WOULD DELAY THE START OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE ED-CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM UNTIL APRIL 1. THE TWO-MONTH DELAY WOULD GIVE LAWMAKERS TIME TO NEGOTIATE ANOTHER DEAL ON HOW SCHOOL VOUCHERS ARE AWARDED IN OHIO AND DECIDE WHICH SCHOOLS - IF ANY - ARE ELIGIBLE DUE TO POOR PERFORMANCE. THE LAWSUIT STATES THAT THE TEMPORARY DEAL CAUSES "IRREPARABLE HARM TO OHIO’S CHILDREN AND FAMILIES" TRYING TO PLAN FOR THE COMING SCHOOL YEAR.

The Marion County Jr. Fair Building Improvement Committee is holding it’s annual Fundraiser Dinner this Saturday, February 8th at 6pm. Entertainment this year is from Knight After Knight. Details are on the Marion County Fair’s Facebook page.

The mother of Buckeye guard D.J. Carton is addressing concerns that the player has left the program to seek a transfer. Jennifer Carton posted on Twitter over the weekend about her son's decision to temporarily leave the team to attend to mental health issues he has suffered from for a few years. Mrs. Carton thanked the fans and coach Holtmann for their support and said her son has every intention of returning to the team when he is able.
