Marion Man Sentenced For Robbery At Ollies Bargain Outlet

The man who robbed Ollie's Bargain Outlet last April will get the maximum prison sentence. Marion County prosecutor Ray Grogan posted on Facebook that 60-year-old Douglas D. Thomas, of Marion, was sentenced to an indefinite term of eight to 12 years in prison last month after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of robbery, for the robbery at Ollies. Thomas had an extensive criminal history going back 40 years. On April 11, 2019 Thomas threatened an Ollie's cashier with a knife and demanded money, the robbery was "remarkably traumatic" for the Ollie's cashier.
