Marion Man Sentenced For Trafficking Fentanyl

Trevor Smith was sentenced by Judge Jason Warner to a minimum term of five years and a maximum term of seven and a half years in prison for trafficking fentanyl and receiving stolen property.

On June 19, 2019, members of the MARMET Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 176 1/2 Jefferson Street which was Smith’s home. At that residence officers found several bags of suspected heroin and fentanyl which weighed approximately 23 grams. a digital scale. and a 40 caliber pistol which had been reported stolen.

Prosecutor Ray Grogan said, “Smith possessed enough fentanyl in this trafficking operation to potentially kill more than 11,000 people.
