Emergency crews from multiple departments responded to a barn fire in Sycamore on Tuesday morning. Crews battled the fire in the heavy winds. Crews responded around 6 a.m. At 1012 Benton Road for fire in a metal barn. The fire was noticed by a resident on the farm who thought it was steam coming from the boiler. Items inside the barn melted with minor melting damage to a tractor. The cause of the fire is unknown the property’s owner noticed wires damaged by mice so this is now a primary expected cause.
