New Pay Raises For Marion Elected Officials

The city of Marion elected officials will receive pay raises in the next couple of years. The Marion City Council passed the raises for city elected officials that will go into effect in 2022. On Monday night, Mansfield City Council voted 5-2 to raise the pay for council members, the city treasurer, the law director and the mayor. The Mayor and the Law Director’s raise will go into effect in 2024, council members and the city treasurer in 2022. According to state law in-term pay increase is prohibited.
