Marion Mayor Re-Elected and Other Very Close Local Election Results!

Marion has re-elected Mayor Scott Schertzer for another four-year term. Schertzer, the Democrat, received 2,495 votes to Republican Kevin Norris' 2,077 and Sue McGowan's 380 votes.

Marion has elected a new City Auditor. Robert Landon (Rep) defeated the incumbent Kelly Carr (Dem) by 302 votes to take over that office.

The 2020 Marion City Council will consist of:

1st Ward: Kai Meade, who defeated Michael Saad by 4 votes.

2nd Ward: Ayers Ratliff, ran unopposed

3rd Ward:Jason Schaber (Rep) defeated Kevin Lytle (Dem).

4th Ward: Josua Feliciano (Rep) defeated the incumbent Debbie Blevins (Dem) by 34 votes.

5th Ward: Leslie Cunningham (Rep) will keep her seat, by 8 votes, over the contender Tara Dyer (Dem).

6th Ward: Kathy Swanger won that seat over Billy Mayberry.

The unopposed Council at Large members are: Josh Daniels, Rebbeca Gustin and Mike Neff.

The Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities Additional 1.7 Mill Levy has failed by 313 votes.
