On September 20, Detectives from the MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 304 ½ S. High Street in the City of Marion. This search warrant is a part of a narcotics investigation that was initiated after tips from citizens who are concerned about drug trafficking in their community. Detectives seized approximately 33 grams of suspected crack cocaine, four handguns and $4,043 in cash. Arrested was Larry Brady, age 58 of that address. He was initially charged with probation violation and additional charges will be forthcoming. “The partnership between the MARMET Drug Task Force and the community is essential in combating illegal drugs in our community. We are grateful that the citizens of Marion continue to stand by our side to fight back against illegal drugs” said Marion Police Department Major Jay McDonald.
