The first and only nursery inside an Ohio prison is now open at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. Officials opened the facility on Thursday which features a fully-equipped dormitory for incarcerated mothers and their infants. The nursery was created so healthy mothers convicted of non-violent crimes could bond with their newborns while serving their sentences. To use the program, prisoners must participate in a treatment plan and a long-term social-services course to help transition back to civilian life.
