A corrections officer who worked at the Marion Correctional Institution was shot and killed in Lima on Friday. When Lima police arrived in the 700 block of Franklin Street, they found 31 year-old Gregory Cooper lying in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Cooper later died at Lima Memorial Hospital.
