The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible homicide after a body was found at Alum Creek State Park. On Thursday evening the Ohio Department of Natural Resources found what appeared to be a shallow grave near the pull-off area of the park. The woman's body found is in her late 20s. Deputies are saying due to the injuries observed, they are looking into this as a possible homicide. The woman's name has not been released yet. Officers are working to notify family members.

The sheriff's office identified the woman as 28-year-old Brittany D. McDowell of Columbus.
