Ohio drivers are being reminded the state's new gas tax goes into effect next week. Officials said yesterday motorists would see gas prices jump by at least ten-and-a-half cents beginning on Monday, July 1st. Governor DeWine signed the tax increase into law last April in order to fund roadway and bridge projects. The new tax is expected to bring in around 865-million dollars a year for highway improvements.
