The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle serious injury traffic crash. That occurred Thursday at approximately 8:40 A.M. on County Road 6 near Hyatt Road in Morris Township in Knox County.
Jamie D. Beckett, age 39, of Fredericktown, drove her 2000 Chevrolet Blazer off the right side of the roadway, over corrected back onto the roadway, The Blazer then went off the left side of the roadway, rolled over multiple times, ejecting the driver and passenger. Ms. Beckett was transported Grant Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The passenger, Jaron M. Dean, age 32, of Fredericktown, was transported to Grant Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
The driver and passenger were not wearing seat belts. Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
