With the successful identification of the alleged Shawn Grate victim, Marion County officials would like to use the same technology to identify a suspected murder victim about 30 years after his partially decomposed body was found in Flat Run Creek in northeastern Marion County. The body was found by children on Ohio 309 and Marion-Galion Road in July of 1989. The Marion County Sheriff's Office has submitted the man's DNA to The DNA Project to hopefully identify the man.
