Convicted Serial Killer Indicted On Four New Counts In Marion County

A Marion County grand jury is indicting convicted serial killer Shawn Grate on four new charges. The indictments were returned by the grand jury yesterday and include charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. Earlier this week, investigators said they had linked the cold case murder of Dana Lowrey to Grate after DNA evidence helped them establish a connection. Grate is suspected of murdering at least five women in Ashland, Marion, and Richland Counties and is currently sitting on death row at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution.
