One Vehicle Fire In Wyandot County

A vehicle is a total loss after a fire Wednesday. The Upper Sandusky Fire Department received a call Wednesday morning about a 2008 Ford SUV that was fully engulfed in flames. The Northbound traffic on U.S. 23/U.S. 30 was temporarily halted while the fire was extinguished. The vehicle's owner claimed that she drove for approximately 10 miles in 3rd gear before she shifted into drive that's when she noticed fire under the hood and pulled over. No one was injured and the cause of the fire was ruled unintentional with mechanical factors contributing to ignition.
