The Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a passenger car and a bicyclist that occurred around 6:23 A.M. on Wednesday on U.S. 36 near North Old State Road, in Berlin Township, in Delaware County.
Brooke A. Dienst, age 29, of Delaware, drove across the white edge line and onto the right berm and struck Michael A. Tighe, age 39, of Westerville and his bicycle. Mr. Tighe succumbed to his injuries sustained from the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
