Nancy Lou Dudley, age 83, died suddenly on January 4, 2019 in Florida. Nancy was born on September 26, 1935 to the late Walter and Marsha (Owens) Hile.
As a graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington, Ohio, Nancy met and married the love of her life – Arthur Harold Dudley, who survives. They were married on August 5, 1956 at the Steam Corners Methodist Church. After their 2 children graduated and moved away, she worked as a 3rd shift Greeter at Meijer in Marion for 6 years. She loved to sew and spend time with her grandchildren. Nancy was a 4-H Advisor for 29 years. She was very involved in Wesley United Methodist Church as Financial Secretary, Sunday School teacher, Youth Group leader, and Vacation Bible School Coordinator. She was currently a member of Prospect Street United Methodist Church in Marion, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Walter Hile, Jr., and her son David Dudley.
Those missing her are her husband Arthur, her daughter Karen Brutchey of Caledonia, and granddaughter Heather Brutchey-Smith of Marion. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren – Leah, Joshua, and Lainey, and 1 great-great grandson – Emmett. They all live in Marion.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Sunday, January 13 from 3pm - 6pm at Prospect Street United Methodist Church in Marion. There will be a viewing on Monday, January 14 from 10am - 11am at the church. The funeral will be starting at 11am with burial at the Marion Cemetery. Pastor Joe Miller will be presiding.
