Early Saturday morning, The Loft and TwentyNine Brew Pub we’re destroyed by fire. Just a few hours after a good crowd enjoyed pizza, drinks and an improv comedy show, flames broke out in the landmark building destroying the structure, its contents and two growing businesses.
No one was in the building when the fire started and no one has been reported injured.
The fire is suspected to have been electrical in nature and several fire departments from Marion County battled the huge flames.
The structure, now known as The Loft, was recently restored and renovated. TwentyNine Brew Pub moved into the lower level in the fall of 2017. It had previously been The Scotch & Sirloin Party House and The Brown House.
There is a GoFundMe set up by the Meddings family, owners of TwentyNine Brew Pub, to help their employees during this difficult time.
