Marion Man Arrested After Delaware County Manhunt

A man with a warrant in Marion has been arrested.  The man is of interest in an attempted burglary that turned into a manhunt in Delaware County. Thirty-three year-old, Jason Deel was arrested Tuesday morning on a failure to appear warrant issued by Marion Municipal Court earlier this month in relation to a possession of a drug abuse instrument charge filed in October.

According to a spokesperson from the Delaware County Sheriff's office, a man that matched the description of a burglary suspect in two burglaries reported on Carters Corner Road in Sunbury, between 5:50 and 6:18 a.m. Tuesday morning. was approached by deputies with the Delaware County Sheriff's office at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.  

Deel was spotted after driving by Harris Road in Delaware County, about a mile away from where two burglaries had occurred earlier that morning.  Deel was brought in for questioning and was later picked up by officers with the Marion Police Department in relation to the warrant out for his arrest.
