ADAMH Statement On Foundations Recovery Center

The Crawford-Marion Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services was disheartened to learn that the Marion Area Counseling Center (MACC) is no longer able to operate its residential substance use disorder treatment program (Foundations Recovery Center) due to financial constraints. The Board understands that this was a difficult decision for MACC and appreciates its efforts to maintain this program in spite of the impact of recent changes to Ohio’s Medicaid program. For many in recovery, their journey began at a residential treatment facility like MACC.

MACC will continue to provide outpatient addiction services, such as individual and group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, recovery housing, etc., along with mental health services to residents of Marion and Crawford Counties. “While this is a setback for those seeking treatment in our area, we at the Board are committed to continuing to address the community’s need for residential treatment and will seek to contract with other providers of residential services,” stated Brad DeCamp, Crawford-Marion Board Executive Director.

In the interim if individuals are seeking services for substance use disorder in Marion or Crawford counties, in addition to MACC, they may contact any of the following: Maryhaven at (740) 375-5550 or (419) 562-1740, or Community Counseling Services at (419) 562-2000.

Should residents have questions about service availability, including residential treatment and/or detox, they are encouraged to call the board office at (740) 387-8531.
