One Person In Custody After Situation At Honda Marysville Plant

One person is in custody after a situation inside the Honda manufacturing plant in Marysville on Friday.

A representative for Honda said the situation began around 3:30 p.m. and production was temporarily suspended.

Honda said the situation involved a distraught worker and that is the person who was taken into custody.

Employees were moved to locations inside the plant and Honda said the safety of employees was not at risk.

Honda said no one was hurt.

Honda said production would resume at approximately 8:15 p.m.

According to a 10TV crew on the scene, there were no roads closed in the area and vehicles were entering and exiting the parking lot.

The Union County Sheriff's Office has not released any more information.

The Marysville Fire Department said its tactical medics and special response team were on the scene.
