Thomas W. DeHaven, age 65, of Marion passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018, at 11:25 AM in the Ohio Health Obleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. He was born August 20, 1952 in Marion, Ohio to Claire LeRoy and Anna Mae (Tennar) DeHaven. He was a 1971 graduate of Marion Harding High School. Tom found beauty and good in everything and everyone. On November 21, 2009 he married the former Paula Noland in Marion and she survives. Also surviving are his 1st wife and the mother of his children; Cathy Sams-Stoll, 4 sons; Thomas D. (Amy) DeHaven of Tampa, FL., Elias C. (Katie) DeHaven of Marion, OH., Jason Smith of Marion, OH., & Jayson H. Daniels of Marysville, OH., 4 daughters; Mandy A. (Craig) Gubernath of Bucyrus, OH., Kristel N. (Todd) Hurtt of Marion, OH., Ashley D. (Michael) Veach of Marion, OH., & Diane A. (William) Gibson of Lexington, KY., a brother; Dan DeHaven of Morral, OH., 21 grandchldren, and 1 great grandchild. Tom left behind his beloved dog; "Noah" and his bird; "Peeps". Preceeding him in death were his parents, a brother; Larry DeHaven, and a sister; Karen Dever. Thomas was employed at the Whirlpool Corp. for 32 years as a tow motor operator before his retirement. Friends may call at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home on Friday, August 10th, 2018, from 12 Noon until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date.
