The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a single engine plane crash in Knox County. The pilot was able to walk away without injury after the plane struck the ground at the airport off Kinney Road in Mount Vernon on Saturday morning. Officials said the accident happened as the plane was attempting to land. Cleanup crews released a statement saying the runway will have to remain closed to all air traffic for several days.
