Marion Man Indicted For Felonious Assault And Domestic Violence

A Marion man accused of breaking a woman’s nose was indicted last week by a Marion grand jury.  Forty-seven year-old Torin Freeman, was indicted Wednesday, on one count of felonious assault, and one count of domestic violence, in Marion County Common Pleas Court.  The charges come from an incident that happened on May 25th, when Freeman attacked her in the 200 block of North Greenwood Street, this according to an affidavit filed in Marion Municipal Court.  Also according to the affidavit, the woman told police that Freeman was trying to kill her and that she was covered in blood.The victim told officers that Freeman had began hitting her after getting into a verbal altercation with him, and that he strangled her until she passed out, she said she was thrown to the ground when she regained consciousnesses. The victim suffered a broken nose, a facial fracture, a head injury and neck strain as a result of the incident.
