Cell Phones Caused Deadly Riot At South Carolina Prison

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster says he's not surprised that violence erupted inside a prison in his state.  Seven inmates died after fights broke out inside Lee County Correctional Institute before guards regained control early yesterday morning.  McMaster told reporters yesterday the situation was "unfortunate," but added people have to remember prisons house dangerous people.  State prisons chief Bryan Stirling said inmate access to illegal cell phones was the main cause behind the riots.

Stirling warned until the FCC helps prison authorities jam cell signals, riots like these will only continue.
