Dan Coats Warns About Dire National Security Threats

National Intelligence Director Dan Coats says the U.S. is under attack from cyber threats every day.  In a Senate hearing yesterday, Coats said Russia will continue to ramp up cyber attacks on the U.S. in an effort to degrade America's democratic values and weaken alliances.  Coats warned that the upcoming midterm elections are a "target for Russian influence operations."

He cited growing threats from terrorism and bad state actors like North Korea, Iran and Syria.  Coats also says the soaring national debt poses a significant threat to U.S. economic and national security.
